The Aurillium Effect is a story of a Marine Corps special operations unit with a sci-fi / horror theme written in strict military verbiage, doctrine, and tactics, taking place in the near future.

We start the story with a cry for help from a beautiful NEWS reporter trapped behind enemy lines in Chinese occupied Iran. The Marines deploy to the border of KUR, (Kuwaiti Unified Republic formally Iraq), and Iran, and venture into occupied territory. Once on the ground the unit rescues the reporter and her camera crew, but realizes all is not what it seems as they discover glitches in their technology and weapon systems.

The Marines stumble on an abandoned secret military research center that was creating a nanotech virus called “Emergent”, designed to heal battlefield injuries. The emergent virus gives the host added strength, improved sight, night vision, and healing ability, however, what they learn is that once the Emergent Virus reaches large numbers in the human body, it becomes self aware, and attempts a take-over of the host’s personality. The take-over is called The Aurillium Effect. Once the Aurillium takes over, the host is consumed with the needs of the nanotech’s base programming; Feed, Replicate, Stay Alive.

The team starts to get systematically killed and harvested by a group of former Army Delta Force operators that were being used as the experimental test group. The aurillium has altered their personalities and bodies to become perfect hunters that feed on human flesh. They name these creatures “Silhouettes”.

The story follows the actions of the Marine Commander on the ground, Captain Alan Dracen, and the war hero sniper with a dark past, Jayden Callahan. As Dracen fights the Silhouettes in an Iranian town where all the townspeople have become infected, Callahan follows clues to the hive where he discovers how to kill the creatures. Dracen and the remaining members of his team fight the Silhouettes using heavy weaponry and cunning skill until Callahan rejoins them and turns the tide of the battle.

The team escapes, and then launches an orbital strike on the area destroying the virus.
Or so they think . . .

Aurillium Effect launches a trilogy full of fast paced military action, modern weaponry, and relentless creatures, and a surprise ending that will leave you stunned. It also exposes a government cover-up, and plot hinting at a bigger picture with global consequences that propels us into the other two films in the trilogy.

The Aurillium Ascension Taking place three years after the events of the first movie, we open with Jayden Callahan stumbling into a bar in Palm Springs, unable to remember the last few years. He is apprehended by a group of people from an organization known as Continuum, lead by Alan Dracen.

From the events of the first movie, we follow Callahan’s quest to recover the last few years of his life. We learn the Continuum was started by the President and Joint Chiefs as a response to the Aurillium Virus spreading to Los Angeles by Xavier Cross who was the chief R&D head of the Emergent Project. Cross is now able to create Aurillium monsters, by growing them, instead of using human hosts. Using the urban sprawl of LA as a testing ground, Dracen and other characters from the first movie are infected with a new strain of Aurillium perfected by the CIA, and launch offensives against Xavier Cross.

Bits and pieces of Callahan’s memory come back to him through his dreams, where the images of a mystery girl are inescapable. Imagine his surprise when he sees her on TV as detective Natalie Sinclair, leading an investigation into a string of unexplained grisly murders in the LA area. Knowing that she might have the answers he needs, he leaves Continuum, tracks her down posing as an FBI field agent, and they try to solve the murders together.

Their discoveries lead them to a mysterious object named The HARVESTMAN, which turns out to be the first and only Quantum Artificial Intelligence. HARVESTMAN was created to control the Emergent Virus in order to keep the Aurillium Effect from happening, but was taken offline. Harvestman has discovered that Aurillium infected humans are capable of creating zero point energy, but the only one to survive the experiments was Callahan, who by now, has started developing unique abilities.

Believing that Callahan is responsible for the murders in LA, Sinclair shoots him, an in the confusion, the Harvestman program escapes to the internet, and in his weakened condition, Harvestman is able to download itself into Callahan, causing an Aurillium Ascension, bonding machine to man. Callahan awakens with the power to control zero point energy, but he has to fight inside to keep Harvestman from taking him over completely.

Xavier Cross realizes that Callahan is the key to his own unique experiments and launches an endeavor to destroy Continuum, capture the remaining operatives, and force Callahan to come find them. What he gets in a raging battle on his doorstep.

ASCENSION combines a digital thrill ride, with modern weapons, and sophisticated battle scenes. It’s a treasure hunt mixed with betrayal, and Callahan’s closest friends turn on him in the end forcing him to kill or be killed.

The Aurillium War Taking place three years after the events of the second movie, Jayden Callahan is waging a one man war against the Harvestman’s latest army of creations. Using the internet, the Harvestman recruits people into his hive posing as the leader of a new religion. Members of the religion are subjected to a new strain of the original Emergent Virus, creating shape shifters. These genetically altered humans appear to look normal, but are able to control the Aurillium in their bodies to manifest into killing machines.

Callahan reunites with Dracen and the few surviving members of Continuum and discovers that the government has been secretly building an army to stop the coming storm. The catch is that the equipment needs the mutated Aurillium nanotech inside Callahan in order to power. Callahan refuses to help and is branded a traitor wanted for treason.

Callahan is later kidnapped by Natalie Sinclair, who now commands a CIA search and recovery team, and is forced to give up the nanotech. During the transfer, Harvestman begins to destroy the lab using a spy it infiltrated into the group. Callahan saves Sinclair, and escapes, killing the creature, gathering information exposing the truth about the religion.

Dracen and his team arrive to find the government blaming Callahan for the destruction of their base, and send out merc squads to kill him. Dracen doesn’t know what to believe, so attempts to find his friend before they do.

Running for their lives, Callahan and Sinclair are hunted by Harvestman, the military, and the CIA, while they try to unravel the mysteries of this new religion as it spreads to the highest level of national government.

With no one to trust, Callahan and Sinclair track down Xavier Cross, break him out of a maximum security facility, and revitalize his experiments in order to fight these new creatures. The resulting experiments allow Callahan to pass his ability to control zero point energy to others. Dracen tracks him down, and joins the fight.

Combined with zero point energy weapons, and a small group of infected volunteers, Callahan and Dracen launch a full scale war against the new church in order to destroy Harvestman. The battles turn to three sides with the Military considering anyone infected with Aurillium as a target.

With death and destruction all around Callahan, he’s able to infiltrate the control nexus of Harvestman’s command center and in a final act of sacrifice, reverses rolls on the AI and puts his personality into the machine, and shuts it down killing himself and all that Harvestman has created.
